Hi, this is my very first blog. The title of the blog is "Head vs Gut" 'cause I always get stuck on making decisions that are either head or gut based.
I guess I should write more. I would love to go to film school, or get a degree in puppetry or study animation. That's what my gut is telling me. "Follow your bliss" who said that? But my head is telling me to study graphic design 'cause then you can get a job.
That the kind of thinking that caused me to stop studying Fibre Design at PCA (now the University of the Arts)and go into graphics. The best students in Fibre Design department were driving a cab and doing plumbing. Soooo, if they couldn't find work in designing fabrics for a mill or what have you, then what chance did I have?
Soooo I went out to California and studied commercial art and started working as a graphic designer. I did other things on the side, that didn't make alot of money and I still do. Right now I'm in a pupper group, Cat in the Attic Puppet Productions, and we're working on a puppet show.
